A little fairy magic.

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend.
I am spending the afternoon at my friends house today. The guys are gathering for the fall ritual, fantasy football draft. It's quite a bunch of folks.
Everyone brings a dish to share. The theme for food this year seems to be towards Mexican with tacos and enchiladas. I am bringing a cheesy rice dish and some pecan bars.

Before I get started with all that, I wanted to do another card this morning for a few challenges.
Fantabulous Cricut has a challenge to recognize National Tooth Fairy Day- yeah! And, Peachy Keen has sketch challenge going right now.

Here is my little creation for both challenges.

Now I just need to see what little person is losing a tooth to send this to.

Here's how I did it....
A2 card base on pink card stock
Pattern papers from My Minds Eye Happier 6x6 paper stack and from my scrap box
Mats cut from Elegant Edges at 4"
Princess/Layers cut from Once Upon a Princess at 3.5"

Wow- it has been way to long since my last post. This week really went by fast. I was in NYC for work  most of the week so just finally got home and was able to spend some time crafting today.

Here is a quick little card for a challenge over at the Cricut Chirp blog.

The challenge is to make a card with a bug and a bow on it. Must use a Cricut cut as well.
This was easy- I pulled out one of my all time favorite carts, Create a Critter and got to work.

Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Here's how I did it....

Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #76- Thank you

Today is the start of an new challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion. This week the challenge is to make a thank you card, but it must be an easel thank you card!

I made mine to measure 3.5" x3.5" when folded it up.
I used lots of different products in my closet for this one. Some I have had a while and have not had a chance to play with yet--oh no!

I came across a stamp blog called WPlus9 a few months back and just fell in love their stamps and dies. You wouldn't know it because this is one of only two projects I have done thus far, but I have big plans, LOL!
This jam jar die and berrie stamp are so cute.

I hope you will give the easel thank you card a try - it is quite easy and is a nice change from the normal style card. I look forward to seeing what you might create and link up over at Celebrate the Occasion this week.

Here's how I did it...
Easel card finished is 3.5" square
Base paper cut at 3.5" x 7" scored and folded at the 3.5" and at 5.25"
Front panel is a 3.5" square attached to short fold

Green mat is cut from My Creative Times XL Label die

Color Me Happy Challenge Card

Cardz TV has a new challenge this week, Color Me Happy and holy moly it's a good one. I mean down right tough.

The challenge is to use the colors marigold yellow, royal blue, purple and grey. You are also allowed to use minimal splashes of white and black, thank goodness.

I started by pulling the colored papers from my scrap box. I then just stared at them almost saying forget it. But then it became a game to really come up with something.
In the end it turned out pretty cute.
I am headed to NYC tomorrow for work this week and this little shopper reminds me of the city. Not that I will have time to shop, but I am going to be very close to 5th avenue so can't help but window shop here and there.
The shopping diva is from LD Holiday Shoppers svg set. Gotta love those "blue suede" boots!

Here's how I did it....
A2 base card on white card stock

Christmas in August Challenge over at CTO!

Well, you can never get too early of a start on those Holiday cards.
This week over at Celebrate the Occasion the challenge is Christmas in August!

Some designers are also showcasing projects this month using digital images from CTO's August sponsor,  Digi Doodle Shop.

My project today is a cute snowman from Digi Doodles.
I colored some of the image using my Cameo and then used the print and cut feature to cut it out along with colored scallop mats. I then finished coloring some tiny areas with my markers. I popped up the white layer with pop dots and added some twine from Twinery.

Hope this inspires you to keep working on those holiday cards and link up your designs over at CTO this week. I can't wait to see what you do!

It's the Queen of Hearts

So if you haven't heard, there is a new challenge blog soon to start some fun challenges. Yup, it's SK digis by Sonia. She is super talented with designing some super fun images just waiting for you to play and create with.

Challenges will begin September 3. In the meantime, hop over to her website to see all the great designs now and start playing.

One of my favorites is her little Queen Bee. I posted a card with one Queen Bee a few days back, but here is another cutie I call the Queen of Hearts. She's got love in her eyes!
Yes, I know we're not even near February, but the idea for this card just popped into my head so I had to do it it right away. I guess I have one card done for that holiday.

I colored and cut all the layers for the bee using the Cameo and Silhouette software. Sonia has a great tutorial here to see how to do this.  I can't wait to see what "Queen Bee" will look like for fall!

I am so excited to be a part of Sonia's Design Team. Can't wait to get started with the first Challenge, September 3rd. Spread the word!

Here's how I did it..
