Vintage Valentines from super cute PPPR files

Hello everyone. Hope you all are having a great week thus far.

Today is Design Team day over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. Wow, there are some super cute new files to grab. If you haven't stopped by, be sure you do. Lisa has some cute zoo animals, cupids, and some super cute valentine kids.

I love vintage valentines and the Valentine Kids cutting files were perfect for my new vintage valentines.
What's super cool about this set of files is that they are deigned so that all the accessories, clothes,  and heads are interchangeable so you can custom create your own kiddo.

For my card, I added extra heart balloons for a whole bouquet.

This is just the first card in a series of 4 that I will post over the next couple days for you using this set of cut files so stay tuned.

In the meantime, please stop over to PPPR and check out the other awesome creative projects from the rest of the Design Team. They are super amazing!

For my project I did a cute Valentine candy treat bag. I used the new Oval Label Treat Topper and the Frog Prince cut files.

The tag is from My Creative Time and the sentiment is a stamp from my stash. I also added some crystals to his crown. I really need to make more of these for some friends. Our best friend!

This week I discovered a new cut file set over at Lettering Delights called Great Scott It's Love
It has the cutest little dog files. I started to play with it a bit and ended up cutting out this little scotty dog a few times because he was so cute yet simple without a bunch of pieces.
If you have a pet, especially a dog, you know how devoted they are to you no matter what. Molly is our four- pawed friend in our house.  I have another card in the works using this cut file. I will post it when I finish it up.

I used some CM shimmer black paper which give the dog a shiny coat. I added glossy accents to the heart and the nose as well. The sentiment is from My Creative Time' Lots of Love stamp set and the heart embossing was made with a cuttlebug embossing folder.

I also want to remind everyone about the Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons blog hop Saturday--- oh my, I have seen a few of the DT projects and I just gotta say you must plan to hop by. These projects  are off the cuteness chart!

I am linking this project up to the following this week:

Have a super day!

Batty for Super Girls!

I was playing around with one of the super hero files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons today and ended up with this little valentine card.
The base card is a also label cut from the PPPR Layered Labels 2 set.
I sized it to fit an A2 envelope. I then paper pieced my cute lil' bat gal sporting her pink hero outfit.
The heart is made using the new Stitched Scallop Heart Die from My Creative Time. This die is so pretty. I popped the center heart up with foam tape.
I then added some crinkle ribbon, a button and a sentiment from My Pink Stamper.

The teal paper is from a Bo Bunny 6x6 paper pad, and all others are scraps from my scrap box.

Hope you 've all had a great weekend.

Let's Play Hockey!

Well, if you live in Minnesota you are probably either playing or watching hockey today.
It's Hockey Day in Minnesota today. That means lots of hockey with high school games broadcast on TV, an outdoor high school game played on the lake in northern MN--Brrr, home opener for the Minnesota Wild, and of course, collage hockey. That's where I will be tonight, watching our home team, the SCSU Huskies play Denver tonight -- hoping for another win.
Thought I would do a little card to celebrate the day. I found this cute little hockey guy here. Imported him into the Silhouette software and made a flag for the stick. I then printed and cut him on the Cameo.

I embossed and inked some white paper with a Jim Holtz brick wall embossing folder, stamped some stitching, added some twine, buttons and a sentiment from My Pink Stamper.

Hope you are enjoying your day whether it is watching hockey or something else you enjoy!

Let it snow!

No, I don't care for it to really snow, but it is "snowing" with brilliant ideas, cut files and clipart over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

Today is also Design Team day at PPPR. The Let It Snow cut file set is so super cute. Here in Minnesota, we have many days of winter and snow before we can think of spring. So, using the girl from this cut file set, I did this snow globe card. The snow globe is also a cut file over at PPPR.  I think it turned out kinda cute.
I embossed the snow pieces with the divine swirls cuttle bug folder and of course inked all edges and added the cute Peachy Keen face.
The sentiment is from My Craft Spot Think Snow stamp set.

Please stop over and check out all the wonderful projects the rest of the PPPR DT have to share with you. I can't believe the abundance of creativity these ladies have.

Argh-- it's cold outside!

WOW - it's cold outside today. Didn't go out much today because mother nature decided to take a turn from the nice winter weather to some pretty cold days. So in between working on a project for work, I was cutting some tags for a friend for a scrap weekend she has coming up.

I didn't have much time to craft this week, but did manage to get a card created.

This little pirate is from Kadoodle Bug Designs a Pirate's Life and the treasure chest, which is the base of my card, is from the Lettering Delights Be My Matey set.

I think it turned out pretty cure. I used a wood grain stamp on the treasure chest for a little texture.
The sentiment is from the BugBites Candy Speaks stamp set which you can find on the right side of my blog.

Hope everyone is having a super weekend ans staying warm if you west of the Mississippi.

Happy crafting!

Have a Happy "snowy" Day!

I was looking around Pinterest, as I do every evening before I go to bed, and stumbled across a super cute, but simple card. I pinned it to one of my boards for later if I needed some inspiration.

Each time I see that card, I think I gotta make one like it. So I did. Just so happens to be a challenge going on over at Paper Crafting world this week that is about using snowflakes on a project. You must use your Cricut in some way for this challenge.  There is still time to link up if you hop on over there.

Now back to my inspiration card. After linking from the Pinterest site, I found myself at Jan's blog called Stamps, Paper, Scissor and her super cute card. I just love that little guy making snow angels on her card.

Well, I had to scrap lift the design and give it a try. My photo is a bit dark but the papers are  pretty teals, dark reds and warm beige's.I also used a shimmer white paper from Creative Memories.
I love the red, teal and beige combo these days. Other winter papers tend to look too much like Christmas at times.

My friend had given me a package of badge buttons from CTMH heart. I had not seen them before, but she gave them to me so I felt challenged to see what I could come up with to use them on. After going to my friend "google" to see what the badge buttons were about, I discovered you can stamp on them...brilliant! It was the perfect thing for my sentiment. I am happy with my version of Jan's card.
Thanks Jan for a for a fantastic card layout idea.

Now remember, you still have time to hop over and link up a snowflake project here.

Here's how I did it.....
standard A2 size card base
Papers form  my stash and my scrap box.
Snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder
Snow angle cut at 2" from the Winter Frolic cartridge
Snowflake from Pretty Papers Pretty Ribbons Snowflake cut file set.
Scallop circle behind the snowflake is my own design using my Cameo software
Button in middle of snowflake is a Badge Button from CTMH
Sentiment from My Craft Spot Tiny Tags 2 stamp set
Face from Peachy Keen
Twine from the Twinery
Stickles for a little snow sparkle

Bug Hugs!

Hey there bloggie and crafty friends. Oh gosh...have you ever had one of those days when you are trying to do something and it just doesn't go as expected...well, that was my morning.

I started off looking at the page views of my blog and comments. Oh my...there seems to be a string of spam comments lately...so in an attempt to move them to the spam folder and then trying to unpublished them I accidentally removed some your kind comments.  I am so sorry. I love all comments I receive so please know I did not remove them intentionally.

Of course I have no way to recover them. It is a good thing it seems to be limited to the post for this past week only. Have any of you seen in increase in spam comments?

So again- if you see your comment were removed--I am sorry.... I love all your comments.
Well, I moved on to try and make a card this morning. Again, trying something new! I decided I wanted to participate in my friends Sonia's Sketchy Friday challenge. I had a great idea that I wanted to use her Queen Bee in Love digi but I wanted to paper piece it. Mainly because I need more ink in my printer and therefore cannot print right now. So I went to work using my Cameo software and figured out how to separate the image and then cut the pieces. Well it took me at ;east three times to get it to cut right.. I was almost ready to give up. Determined to make it work, I continued on and this is how it turned out.
This bee is so cute and just looks like it is buzzing around so I popped it up on a wobble.
The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper and the papers are from a new 6x6 paper pack I just got from Authentique. I added a few stickles and some gems to complete the look.

Please stop by and take a look at the other great projects the DT has done for this Sketchy Friday challenge. I am sure you will be inspired.

Treasure every moment!

Happy Saturday-- wow, I love these short weeks after a holiday.
Earlier this week I released my new stamp set, Candy Speaks. I am having a blast making projects with this stamp set...I am having so much fun.

If you missed the release or any of the sneek peak post, you can find them by clicking the home button at the top of this page and then scroll down to view all the previous posts.

If you haven't picked up this new set yet, you can just click the button on the side of my blog below the picture of the set. It's a pretty good value for just $11.99.

Here is the latest card I just finished using the treasure every moment sentiment from that stamp set.
Die Cuttin Divas is kicking off the year with a sketch challenge, so with that sketch in mind, this design came to be.

I pulled out a lot of different tools, papers and some new ones I got at Christmas time.

I used this adorable pirate couple from the Lettering Delights Be My Matey set. I got this set in a bundle sale last year at this time. It was well worth every penny. Aren't they so sweet with those cute Peachy Keen faces. Oh, they have an PKS Anything Goes challenge going on here too.

Another place I like to grab svg files is over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. The mat for my sentiment is from a Sentiments Spots 1 set. I just sized it three times to layer it up.

Now for the pattern paper with words. I could not find the right paper in my stash that I felt went with the stripes and dots. I know, how can that be when I have stacks of paper!
It then hit me that I could make my own printed paper. I just got in the mail yesterday, the new Love Collage bakcground stamp from My Creative Time. This was just released this week and they flew out the door. I was so happy that I got my order in early to get it. I just stamped it on white paper and cut the size I needed.

I added some buttons and some new heart gems I picked up at the craft store earlier today.
The lil' couple is mounted to the card with two thicknesses of black foam tape.

Thanks to a great sketch for inspiration, I ended up with a super cute card today.
Be sure to check out the DT inspiration cards over at Die Cuttin' Divas and Peachy Keen stamps and maybe give the sketch a shot.

BugBites Stamp Release Day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy New Year to all my bloggie friends. I hope 2013 will be a wonderful year for everyone.

Today I get to show you the complete BugBites stamp set, Candy Speaks. If you missed the previous two days of sneak peaks, you can find them here and here

First, I have a couple more projects to show you that I did using this stamp set.

I think this is one of my all time favorite projects. Don't ya just love it when something turns out better than you think it will. I found a tutorial for a candy treat favor here. It was perfect to go with my Life Saver sentiment.

The image is from the Wild Card 2 cartridge. I used some pop dots to add it to the front of the treat holder. I used an EK border punch for the wavy edge and the Divine Swirls embossing folder on the blue and white paper.. It's kinda hard to see in the picture.

I do have to say that I ended up scoring the treat box portion in a couple places so it would stand up instead of rolling over.

I think this is just super cute and think I need to make a bunch of these.

Now a card for a guy. We all struggle with guy cards. This is a valentine card for a golfer. Give it along with a couple golf tees or a gift card to the golf course. In the end, it doesn't need anything... just a nice card for a golf fan.
I used the golf green image from Create a Critter 2 cartridge and replaced the flag with a heart. Gotta love the Gypsy for this fun stuff. The tag was cut using an EK punch I have in my closet and then hand cut a shadow for it.

So here it is-- the whole set for you to see.
You can grab it now by using the button  under the image on the right side of my blog. I will ship orders as soon as I receive them.
