Happy Birthday!

No, not my birthday or anyone I know, at least not today. But you can never have too many B-day cards on hand.
Today is my design day over at Stamp Annie Thing.

I decided to use the Stamp Annie Thing Wish Big stamp set for my simple but cute little birthday card today.

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto the card stock base. Then I added a few coordinating papers, colored this sweet little girl with my copics and I had a Birthday card for my stash. You don't need a ton of different papers for a cute card. Just a few scraps and a great set of stamps.

You can pick up this cute little stamp set here.

Have a terrific Monday.

It's National Coffee Day!!

Ok all you coffee drinkers out there...did you know today is National Coffee Day?

While browsing through Pinterest last night, I cam across a cute k-cup holder that was perfect to honor this special day for all of you coffee lovers.
I decide to replicate it in my Silhouette Design software so that I would have a cut file for future reference whenever I needed one. You can find the original template here.

I started with some kraft card stock and then added pattern papers from a Simple Stories 6x6 paper pack called Harvest Lane.

The curly die cut on the front for the sentiment is from My Creative Time. The sentiment and the coffee cups are stamps from the My Creative Time stamp set You Are Perk-fect stamp set.
I added a couple buttons ad then placed k-cups. I now have a treat to pass along to a friend.

Enjoy the National Coffee Day!!

Monster Delights!

As I am on most Wednesday's, very excited to post today with a Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Design Team project, but this week is a bit sad for me as well. This is my last Design Team post for PPPR for a while - gasp!
I have so enjoyed being on this wonderful team and hope to be back one day. But for now, I am giving it a break and allowing other talented designers an opportunity to join Lisa's team. This Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons team is truly like a family of close sisters. Any new member is in for a real treat.

Enough of my sadness. Let's get to the fun and exciting stuff today.

Check out the fabulously cute and spooky Halloween files in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store. I used this little vampire from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Monster Mash cut file set and  paired it with the Handled Treat Bag Topper.

I cut the topper from the Halloween Chevron and Stripes  and Halloween Circle and spots  Digital papers. The sentiment is from the BugBites Ghostly Greetings stamp set.
I filled the treat bag with some black licorice pieces for a friend that really likes black licorice.

Don't miss a quick stop over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons to see the other great projects the DT has done today.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Tuesday Challenge- Fall Colors.

Welcome back to another Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge. This week the challenge is to make a project using Fall colors; red, orange and yellow. I also threw in a bit of dark green and brown, all in the fall color theme for me.
This is a very simple card and kinda elegant. Love that brown pattern paper from the Reflections Fall Echo Park paper pack as are the other papers.

I used some metal dies from My Creative Time for the leaves and an acorn from the Acorn Faces cut file set by Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

The sentiment is from the BugBites Autumn Splendor stamp set.

Be sure to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog this week for some great apple inspiration from the the DT and link up an apple creation for us all to see.

Fall Fun and Some News!

Hey everyone,  it's Friday!!! I am so glad the weekend is here. It's going to be a fun weekend. We have an Oktoberfest party tomorrow and I am bringing the black forest chocolate cherry cake. Wow, that's a mouthful.

Now, between baking, I put together a cute little card to help share my fun news.
Ann Kelly from Digi My World has asked me to be apart of her new Design Team! She creates super cute and simple to color digital stamps. Digi My World also has digital images already colored! You really need to stop by and check them out.

Now don't be afraid of digital stamps if you aren't comfortable using markers. Being I was short on time today, I imported my digital stamp of this sweet girl from the Apple Picking set into my Silhouette Design Studio software and colored her there. With just a few clicks, she was done. I then printed and cut her out. I added a sentiment from my own BugBites Autumn Splendor stamp set ( you can pick that up on the left side of the blog) along with a bow and button.

now here's the really good news...if you like playing with digital stamps, you too can join the team. Ann is putting together a second team! Find all the details about how to apply here

Have a super weekend. Come back tomorrow for a great give away. I can't tell you anymore than that.

Dice Cuttin' Diva's Apple Challenge.

It's Tuesday and time for another Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge. It sure is starting to feel like fall and fall is known for pumpkins and apple picking. So, this week we are challenging you to make a project with an apple on it.

My project this week is a pocket card, embellished on the front with an apple from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Apple Picking file set. I added a tag from a paper stack I had that had that cute basket of apples. For the sentiment, I used the curly dies from My Creative Time and stamped a sentiment from my very own BugBites Autumn Splendor stamp set. I placed a packet of instant apple cider into the pocket.

Be sure to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog this week for some great apple inspiration from the the DT and link up an apple creation for us all to see.

Voo Doo You Love?

Happy Monday. I am back with yet another project using Stamp Annie Thing Stamps.
This week, I am using the Voo Doo You Love stamp set. It's a quirky little stamp set, but a lot of fun to play with. The image was stamped and colored with copic markers. I added the sentiment several times around the edge to make a border. The sentiment is included in this stamp set so everything coordinates nicely.

You can grab this little stamp in the store now by clicking here.

Hope you have a crafty day!

A Happy Birthday You Will Have.

The weather is looking a bit grey today. We are hoping for rain! Catching up on some crafting since I was traveling most of this past week.

I thought I would join in the Jaded Blossom Challenge this month. You can find the details here.  The challenge is a gift card theme.
I pulled out the Close to My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge because it has a super cute gift card cut on it that folds up easily to hold the card in a pocket inside.
I cut the card a couple times at different sizes so I could layer them on the front and the inside. This cartridge does not have a shadow feature for this card.

The Darth Vader die cut was a freebie from SVG Cutting Files back in May.

To finish off my gift card holder, I used the Jaded Blossom Candy Wars stamps set and Candy Charm dies. Now all I have to do is get a gift card to put inside.

Have a crafty day!

Design Team Day for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

Welcome to Design Team day for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.
Though I am not ready for fall, still want more summer, I am in the fall crafting mood. I love this time of year with the fall and Halloween colors.
I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Monster Mash and Frog Prince cut files for a little treat card today. It's just a piece of card stock rolled up to make a box where I can slide in a candy bar.
I found the tutorial here.
I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette to cut the adorable little witch and frog. I stamped the cute sentiment which is from my very own BugBites stamp set called Magic Spells. I still have some in stock. You can find them on my side bar or under the stamps heading above.
You can see in this side view picture where I put the candy bar and then tied a ribbon to be sure it doesn't fall out. The stars are die cut buttons from My Creative Time.

Please be sure to stop by the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Blog today to see all the other great projects this fabulous DT has done for you.

Die Cuttin' Divas Teddy Bear Challenge.

It's Tuesday and time for another Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge. This week we want to see all your projects with a Teddy Bear on it.
I just love the Teddy Bear Parade Cricut cart and for this challenge, you have tons of options. With it being fall and back to school time, I decided on this cute lil' school girl bear.

The sentiment is from a My Creative Time Beary Special Thoughts stamp set.
A great card for a student or teacher perhaps.

Be sure to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog this week to see the DT inspiration projects and link a project. I look forward to seeing your Teddy Bear inspired creation.

Bananas for the Monkeys!

Happy Monday.  It was a busy weekend. My hubby and son ran a half marathon and Sunday I flew to Las Vegas. But before I left I did this quick little card for you today for my DT day over at Stamp Annie Thing.

I used the Our Lil Monkey stamp set for my monkey friend and popped him up on a banana shaped card compliments of Miss Ann over at SVG Cutting Files.

I colored my lil' monkey with chalk this time instead of my markers. I wanted to try something new. It is a much softer look.

I also want to let you know that there are new Stamp Annie Thing stamps about to be released and we have a release blog hop planned. Mark your calendars.
Have a great week!

Having fun with some new goodies.

Hey everyone! This is jut a quick post today being I am traveling for work this week. But before I leave today,  I just had to play with some new goodies I received in the mail yesterday, the My Creative Time Stitched Spooky Ghost dies.

I put this together in about 30 minutes with the most time spent picking paper. I don't know why I have such a hard time with picking paper for projects.

I used the My Creative Time Slider Treat box die for my base and then embellished it with the ghost dies, tulle and pearl stick pin. Oh, an I can;t forget that cute PKS face on the ghost.

Wishing you all a crafty day!

Die Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge

I hope everyone enjoyed the extra long weekend. It's Tuesday and time for another Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge. This week we have a great sketch posted for your inspiration.
I used the Wild Card cartridge for my base and then a cute birthday fish from SVG Cutting Files.
The sentiments is from Jaded Blossoms Fish On stamp set.

Be sure to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog this week to see the DT inspiration projects and link a project. I look forward to seeing your spin on the sketch.

Something to Crow About!

Happy Monday and Happy Labor day! Today is another Design day for me over at Stamp Annie Thing Stamps.and I am here to show you a cute little card I did using the super cute Our Lil' Pumpkinhead stamp set.
Last week the weather was sweltering hot. This week, have have jumped right into fall with cooler temps. With fall in the air, I dug out my fall papers and did a little pumpkin card for ya.

I used the Our Lil' Pumpkinhead stamp set for all the stamped images you see on this card, the pumpkin, the crow and sentiment.

I love that burlap paper, yes, burlap paper. I was at Joann's and found a whole 6x6 paper stack of textured burlap paper. I can see I will be using that often this fall on my projects.

I colored the image with my copic markers and then used chalk for a light background.

I punched a 3/4" circle to stamp the crow on and then popped him up with foam tape onto a die shape using the Jaded Blossom Candy Charms and Banners dies.
The faux stitched border was done by using a piercing tool .

I have been seeing a lot of projects on the blog with sequins, so of course I had to give it a try. I like the sparkle without using glitter effects.

Hope you all are enjoying the  nice long weekend.Have a crafty day!
